The British GT Championship will feature a fresh on-track, social media and marketing design philosophy this season.
With the series’ previous long-running title sponsorship deal coming to an end, British GT saw an opportunity to pursue a new approach for the forthcoming campaign and beyond.

After evaluating and testing several ideas the championship has opted for an innovative black, red and white colour scheme featuring angled slashes and a bold typeface on both the number panels and windscreen branding.
In another change, the championship’s two categories are now easily identified by the background colour of their number panels: red for GT3 and black for GT4.

But it’s not just the cars that will showcase British GT’s fresh approach. A revamped website is currently in development while the championship’s social media channels will also incorporate key elements of the new design direction.

Finally, British GT and BRDC Formula 4’s official event posters will break with the direction taken by most championships in recent years by featuring a modern twist on classic motorsport illustration. The first of these will be unveiled in due course.

Benjamin Franassovici, British GT Championship Manager: “It’s fantastic that the championship has continued to grow in stature and will once again feature full grids this year. However, we can’t take anything for granted and are always looking at ways to stand out from the crowd, which was the motivation behind making wholesale changes to our design philosophy. We’re passionate about the details and felt like this was an area that could be improved upon. I think our approach is, collectively, very different to what anyone else is currently doing and helps set the championship apart from others nationally and internationally.”

2016-spec number panels and windscreen branding will make their track debut during the British GT Championship Media Day at Snetterton on March 15.
