British GT News: Triple Eight BMW gets modern new livery

Triple Eight Racing has launched a new livery design for its BMW Z4 GT3 ahead of the start of the 2015 Avon Tyres British GT Championship this weekend (4/6 April) at Oulton Park.

The 2015 season will be Triple Eight’s third in the top British GT series as they continue as a BMW Motorsport customer racing team. Joe Osborne and Lee Mowle again unite, in search of wins and a maiden championship run.

Taking cues from the new Triple Eight logo launched in January of this year, the stylish interpretation was carried out by burgeoning Derby-based business, Dan Bathie Creative and applied by long-time partner to the team, City and County Graphics, located near Abingdon.

James Warnette, Triple Eight Racing’s Communications Manager, adds, “The livery, our first proper one on our British GT car after two years of bare carbon, shows to some degree the changes that we’ve gone through as a team over the winter. We’re pulling out all the stops and making sure we’re the best prepared team on track and off it.”

The new-look Triple Eight Racing BMW will make its first track appearance on Saturday 4th April at 09:30 BST when the first British GT free practice session gets underway at the leafy Cheshire circuit.

The opening pair of British GT races this year will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 6th April, with highlights available on both Channel 4 and Motors TV on Saturday 11th April. Tickets for the Avon Tyres British GT Championship season-opener at Oulton Park on 4/6 April are available from £18, with free entry for children aged 12 and under.
