The 21-year-old is a proven front runner in cars, having finished fourth overall in Formula Renault BARC in 2012 with Mark Godwin Racing and taken a win at Donington Park in addition to three further podium finishes. Wagner was classified 11th overall in the series in 2011, and was runner-up in the 2010 Winter Series at Pembrey with one race win.
Prior to his Formula Renault campaigns, Wagner enjoyed success in karts, and began karting in 2005, securing the British NKRA championship in the Honda Cadet category. Moving to Junior TKM in 2006, he was crowned Scottish Open Champion and West of Scotland champion before clinching the Scottish Open Championship again in 2007, this time in the Junior Blue category. He was also the winner of the NKRA Finals in the same year.
Wagner claimed the British Open Championship in 2008 and also switched to the British KF3 series, clinching a top five finish in the KF3 Winter Series as well as taking numerous race wins and fastest laps in the Stars of Tomorrow KF3 Championship.
Moving up to KF2 in 2009, he secured several top five finishes and two fastest laps in the KF2 British Kart Championship before being crowned as 2010 British Schools Karting Champion and then switching his attentions to cars.

It’s got great aerodynamic and mechanical grip and most importantly, it’s reliable. Last year I watched the championship on TV and the racing looked close and competitive so I’m looking forward to having many battles this year. I’ve raced with MGR before and I developed from a single seater rookie to a race winner and I’m confident I will have a car capable of winning races.”
