Williams, from Thirsk in Yorkshire, raced with the team at the DTM-supporting round in May, scoring 12 points.
He’s expecting more from this weekend though, and has targeted a top-three finish in Cheshire having won in Formula Ford at the venue in 2012.
“I’m very excited to be racing again and I’m really looking forward to getting out at Oulton Park” Williams enthused. “I’ve always liked the circuit; it was the first track I drove on when moving up to cars and I find I perform well there whether it’s wet or dry. I had a great win in the wet at Oulton Park in Formula Ford last year and I think I can aim for the podium this weekend.”
“It’s great to have Luke back in the car” said team principal Chris Dittmann. “When he raced with us at Brands Hatch he had really encouraging pace and was only denied a really strong result by a bit of bad luck. The team did a great job at Brands Hatch and we’re aiming for the podium at Oulton Park. In the short amount of time Luke has had in the car he has shown really encouraging pace and a podium is definitely possible.”
