“It was tricky this morning with the wet weather, but fortunately in the afternoon we had some dry conditions. It was quite slippery, with low grip at the end. The dominating factor was the weather today and we’re not sure what’s going to tomorrow, but we’re happy with where we are.”

“Today was pretty good. It’s a tricky circuit, especially when it’s a bit green and there’s not much rubber on track. The first session was wet, but we got some information on all of the tyres at the end there in FP2. The new tyre compound was ok, it wasn’t expected to be hugely different, but it ran well. It would have been nice to do some more work on it, we got five laps – but it’s better than nothing. We seemed pretty strong in both conditions today.”

1.   The feelgood factor – you just feel incredible when you’ve done it.

2.   Being outside – Just getting out into the fresh air, not stuck inside, makes you feel alive and that’s a brilliant drug.

3.   It means I can eat more – that’s always a bonus.

4.   Socialising – It’s good to get out there some mates and swap stories when you’re mountain biking or whatever. It’s good to have people to compare notes with.

5.   You can train with the dogs – Getting out and about anytime is good and I love getting outside with the dogs. It’s so awesome to watch the dogs loving being outside and charging around. Does your heart good.
