It falls to Fernando Alonso to round off winter testing for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Catalunya Circuit. The Spaniard took to the track this morning for the penultimate day of the session, again benefiting from fine weather, even if the sky is no longer completely clear and the threat of rain would seem to be slowly increasing.

Fernando was therefore able to test the 150° Italia fitted with the latest technical updates, running a programme similar to the one tackled by team-mate Felipe Massa yesterday, which is centred on a comparison of various front wing configurations and on a race weekend simulation. By the lunch break, the Ferrari man’s best time was a 1.21.614 and he had completed 61 laps. The best performance of the morning came from Michael Schumacher who did an impressive 1.21.268.

Another busy afternoon awaits: it will be interesting to see the pace of the 150° Italia over a race distance, before heading off to Australia.
