Professional MotorSport World Expo, central Europe’s leading trade-only motorsport exhibition, today reveals the shortlisted nominees for its strongly contended 2010 Awards. With nominations in three categories, Porsche’s groundbreaking GT3 R Hybrid race car will certainly be in the thoughts of the Awards’ highly respected judging panel as they cast their votes. These eagerly anticipated annual awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner on Tuesday 16th November 2010 in the presence of over 850 motorsport professionals at the Kölnmesse in Köln (Cologne), Germany.

Graham Heeps, Editor of Professional Motorsport World Magazine and Chairman of the judging panel, says: “The GT3 R Hybrid is one of the most remarkable motorsport stories of 2010. However, it’s also notable to see the prominence of circuit safety technologies within the Safety Initiative category, and the recognition for a number of other crucial technologies in the sport, such as simulation and high-performance coatings. The awards have become established as one of the industry’s leading annual events that recognises the exceptional personal and technological achievement in motorsport and the influence that these cutting edge technologies play in a very broad range of industrial applications.
